I’m Building Something Consulting, LLC celebrates the 11th Annual Small Business Saturday® by hosting FLINT Small Business Saturday as an American Express® Neighborhood Champion

I’m Building Something Consulting, LLC announced this month that, as a member of the American Express® Neighborhood Champion Program, it will host an event as part of Small Business Saturday, which takes place on Nov 27. Created by American Express in 2010, FLINT Small Business Saturday celebrates the impact small businesses have on communities across the country.

Flint Small Business Saturday was started in 2017 by Ebonie Gipson, Entrepreneurship Expert and CEO of I’m
Building Something Consulting, LLC.

“This event is so vital to our community; it provides a unique opportunity for us to support local business owners and support the thriving economic development of our city,” Gipson said. Local entrepreneurs needed a space to activate their businesses on the biggest shopping weekend of the year. We
felt it was our responsibility to answer that call. (At) this year’s event we’re hoping to see 3,000+ residents, support over 100 local business owners throughout the entire city and generate over $75,000 in
sales for local businesses. Sponsored by Ford’s Party Rental, Word of Life Christian Church, Lawrence E Moon, Metro Community Development and more. making this is a continued community collaboration.
Flint Small Business Saturday includes a Citywide Holiday Shopping Guide allowing community members to
continue to support small business owners throughout the holiday season. We are introducing the ‘Flint Small Biz Box’, a box that supports & provides exposure for local entrepreneurs. “The Small Biz Box is exciting because it allows us to bring the businesses together in a collaborative way, while allowing the community to have more experience with small businesses.”

In order to drive shoppers to Shop Small® this Nov 27, I’m Building Something Consulting, LLC is participating in the American Express® Neighborhood Champion Program to spotlight small businesses and the impact they have on communities. An average two-thirds of every dollar ($0.67) spent at a small business in the U.S. stays in that local community. That means shopping small could help bring things like better schools, smoother roads and new jobs to neighborhoods across the country.
I’m Building Something Consulting, LLC celebrates its fourth year as a Neighborhood Champion.
