Historic St. John Street Neighborhood holds reunion for first time since COVID pandemic hit

FLINT, Michigan, Aug. 10, 2022 – The St. John Street Historical Committee has announced that the St. John Street Neighborhood Reunion is returning Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022. This is the first time the reunion has been held since 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

The reunion will take place from 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion, 4314 W. Carpenter Road, in Flint. Hot dogs and refreshments will be provided, and attendees are asked to bring their own picnic baskets. A DJ will provide musical entertainment.

The annual reunion is an important part of the St. John Street Historical Committee’s goal of keeping the memory of their community alive. The committee is also dedicated to sharing a complete and inclusive history of the city of Flint.
