Flint, MI — Hand of God Ministries, a church serving the Flint community, has made history with the ordination of two women as pastors—Pastor Dione Jones and Pastor Simone Gaines—a significant achievement in a field that has traditionally been male-dominated.

The ordination ceremony, held at Hand of God Ministries in Flint, recognized the spiritual leadership, dedication, and calling of Pastor Jones and Pastor Gaines. Their ordination represents both a personal milestone and a broader step forward for inclusion and equity within faith leadership.

“This moment reflects our belief that God calls, equips, and anoints individuals without limitation,” said Senior Pastor of Hand of God Ministries Bishop Le V. Bailey II.

Bailey added: “Pastor Dione Jones and Pastor Simone Gaines have demonstrated faith, integrity, and servant leadership, and we are proud to affirm their calling.”

Women remain underrepresented in pastoral leadership across many denominations, making this ordination especially meaningful for the Flint community. Congregants and guests gathered in celebration, prayer, and support, witnessing a moment many described as inspiring and transformative.

Hand of God Ministries hopes this historic occasion will encourage future generations—especially women who feel called to ministry—to walk boldly in their purpose and calling.
