Flint, MI – Uptown Reinvestment Corporation and the YMCA of Greater Flint are excited to announce a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction project at Third and Harrison. The development, LiveWell on Harrison, will help strengthen the health and wellness district in the heart of Flint and include a new YMCA, 50 residential apartments, a Hurley Physical Therapy Clinic and Crim Fitness Foundation.
The groundbreaking event will be from 10 – 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at 719 Harrison St., in Flint. Senior officials from the partner organizations plus community, civic, and elected leaders will gather to celebrate the new project.

The program will include comments from Shelly Hilton, CEO of the YMCA of Greater Flint; Tim Herman, CEO of the Flint & Genesee Group; Ridgway White, president and CEO of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation; and Mayor Sheldon Neeley, City of Flint. Additional representatives from partner organizations and NBA Champion, Washington Wizards, philanthropist and Flint native Kyle Kuzma will also participate in the groundbreaking.
