Greater Flint Health Coalition receives funding for mental health services

Congressman Dan Kildee in partnership with Dr. Lawrence Reynolds, interim President & CEO
of the Greater Flint Health Coalition, announced $750,000 in new funding to improve mental
health services in Genesee County on Tuesday June 28.
“For far too long we haven’t had adequate access to the kind of care that people need, when they
need it and in the way that they need it,” said Kildee.
The program, in partnership with Genesee County Community Mental Health, will help to
address social determinants of health, such as transportation and housing, and will link
participants with mental health and other medical services
