Opportunity for Parents to Learn More About GISD Early Childhood Programs
FLINT – The Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) is proud to provide early childhood services and preschool programs for children and families in Flint and throughout Genesee County. To help families discover more about the opportunities available, GISD is hosting a FREE Preschool Enrollment Kick-off event at the Flint Children’s Museum.
What: Preschool Enrollment Kick-off Event
When: Sunday, June 23, 2024 | 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Where: Flint Children’s Museum

Parents are encouraged to bring their children to explore the museum and learn about the various early childhood programs available.
“Preschool lays a crucial foundation for lifelong learning; nurturing cognitive, social, and emotional development during the formative years,” stated Director of Early Childhood Programs, Jodi Ramos, Ed.D. “Investing in preschool education yields significant benefits, equipping children with essential skills that pave the way for academic success and personal growth.”
This preschool kick-off event is a great way to find out what’s available to area children and to help ensure they have a successful start. All children ages birth to five and their parents are welcome to attend. The MEL Bus will also be on-site for anyone who would like to apply for an early childhood position.
