Genesee Career Institute FFA celebrates National FFA Week

FLINT–National FFA (Future Farmers of America) Week, observed annually in February, celebrates the National FFA Organization and its more than one million student members and their impact on agriculture. The week promotes agricultural education, leadership, and service, and commemorates the founding of the Future Farmers of America in 1928.

In celebration, the Genesee Career Institute FFA chapter from Flint, Michigan,  participated in a share night at Culver’s of Flint on February 26 for National Give FFA Day to raise funds for student leadership opportunities. The community support from the event will help enable members to participate in conferences, career development events and other educational experiences throughout the year.

About Share Night: To support local schools and organizations, Culver’s hosts Share Night events where community members can participate in fundraising. Here’s what happens during Share Night. A percentage of sales from the evening is donated to a designated local school or organization. Family, friends and other community members are encouraged to dine in or order takeout to contribute.
