GearUp2Lead launches city-wide 9-Ward Park-to-Park Tour to connect Flint youth & families to vital resources

Flint, MI–GearUp2Lead recently announced a Flint-focused 9th Ward Tour, aimed at connecting high schoolers, families and young adults with vital resources.

The tour will include a series of free resource fairs held in all nine wards of Flint, offering education options,
employment opportunities, and support services essential for success.

The upcoming 9-Ward Tour is designed to bring resources directly to the Flint community. By partnering with Keep Genesee County Beautiful, GearUp2Lead aims to create a family-friendly atmosphere where attendees can engage with various service providers and take advantage of free giveaways and raffles.

GearUp2Lead is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering marginalized youth by providing the support, opportunities and skills needed to achieve a high school diploma and meaningful employment. Their mission is to bridge the gap for disconnected youth, reconnecting them with resources necessary for financial success and overall independence, while emphasizing the importance of cultivating a growth mindset and developing social and emotional skills.

The community is invited to come out to the 9 Ward Tour events to learn more about the resources available.

The tour will take place from 12pm-2pm every Wednesday in July and August.
