Flint, MI Equal Access to Training (E.A.T.), in partnership with the Flint Community Foundation and Gatorade, has announced a FREE Girls’ Youth Basketball and Strength & Conditioning Camp on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 10 am to 1 pm at the University of Michigan-Flint’s West Gym Court, located at 303 E. Kearsley St., Flint, MI 48502.

This one-day camp is open to girls ages 11–16 residing in Genesee County, offering them a fun, energetic, and empowering opportunity to build their skills and confidence both on and off the court.

Camp Highlights:

  • Proper warm-up and cool-down techniques
  • Basketball skills & fundamental development
  • Drill stations, competitions and prize giveaways
  • Free t-shirt and Gatorade gift bag for every participant

Coach Dell Johnson, founder and lead trainer at Equal Access to Training, shares:

“We are very excited to bring this opportunity to the young girls of Genesee County. Studies show that young girls are dropping out of sports at an alarming rate, so we teamed up with the Flint Community Foundation and Gatorade with hopes of turning some of these girls around and getting them to be more committed to a lifestyle of activity.”

This initiative reflects E.A.T.’s mission to provide high-quality, accessible sports training that helps youth—especially young girls—stay active, healthy, and engaged.
