~~Flint's Phi Eta Psi Fraternity, Inc celebrates it's 50th Anniversary
The Brothers of Phi Eta Psi Fraternity Inc will be celebrating their 50th year Anniversary
at a luncheon on April 4, 2015. The luncheon will take place at King's Banquet Center
located at G-5425 Clio Rd. The lunch and program is scheduled from 11 :00 am to 3 :00
pm.
Phi Eta Psi Fraternity was founded on April 5, 1965 at Flint Community Junior College.
The Founding Fathers are Wille Buck, James Humphrey, Eugene Tolbert, Leon Lucas,
Jerome Davis (Jihad Hassan Sharif), Rondy Harris, Lincoln Murphy, and Ronald
Thompson.
Since 1965 Phi Eta Psi Fraternity has established 30 undergraduate and alumni
chapters throughout the country which include Texas, California, Washington, Alabama,
Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, as well as Michigan.
Phi Eta Psi Fraternity firmly believes that it is important to serve the communities in
which we live. We believe that a man's strength is most apparent when he is in the
service of others. The Flint Alumni Chapter is proud of it's record of service in the Flint
community. Our Brothers have participated in and supported such organizations as the
Boy Scouts of America, Tapology Dance Festival, and the Mr. Rogers programs. Our
current community service focus is on mentoring acitivities for young men and boys.
We endeaver to continue to address the needs ofthe community and provide strong role
