Flint woman charged with allegedly running over and killing boyfriend

36-year-old Candice Patton, of Flint, was recently charged with first-degree premeditated murder after allegedly running over her boyfriend.

The incident occurred on May 5, 2024, at the Speedway gas station, on the 500 block of South Dort Highway. The couple was arguing before Patton allegedly ran over and killed her boyfriend, William Charles Clemons III.

According to police, footage from the gas station showed a Chevrolet Traverse hitting Clemons.

Through investigation, police found the Chevrolet Traverse with DNA from Clemons on it.

Patton was arrested at her home and is being held on no bond. Her probable cause hearing is scheduled for May 23.
