Flint Police Respond to Homicide Incident on W. Newell Street

Flint, MI — May 23, 2025 — The Flint Police Department is investigating a tragic homicide that occurred on Friday, May 23. At approximately 12:30 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of W. Newell St., following reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, police found a 33-year-old adult male victim suffering from apparent firearm-related injuries. Despite emergency efforts and transportation to a local hospital, the victim was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
