Flint Farmers’ Market Celebrates 10 Years Downtown with Night Market Thursday

Flint, MI – The Flint Farmers’ Market is celebrating 10 years in its current site at 300 East First Street with a Night Market on Thursday, June 20th from 5-8 pm. Customers will be treated to great music, a photo booth, free giveaways, prizes and games, face painting and special $10 or 10% off deals, plus many vendors will be giving out free samples! This event is FREE and OPEN to the public!

The Flint Farmers’ Market sees almost 500,000 customers a year! They have 45 year-round vendors inside
and additionally 25-30 seasonal vendors in the outdoor pavilion. The market entity was created in 1905 on the side streets of downtown Flint. It had several homes and for nearly 75 years was located on the banks of the Flint River. Uptown Reinvestment Corporation currently owns the market after assuming management of it in 2002.

Over the years, the market has been recognized nationally as one of the best public markets in the country. Winning the following awards just to name a few: America’ Most Loved Market, one of CNNs Top 10 Public Markets, one of Thrillist’s Top 10 Markets to See Before You Die, 1 of the Top 5 Places in America by the American Planning Association additionally the market is consistently the number 1 Market in Michigan on numerous farming, ag and tourism sites and winner of City’s Choice Award for Farmers’ Markets (multiple years) from MyCity Magazine.
