Ennis Center Hosts Reception for New DHS Acting Director

Ennis Center for Children is hosting a reception for newly appointed Genesee County Acting Director Mike Milks on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. The reception will be held at 2 pm at the Ennis Center location in Flint, 129 East Third Street. The event is open to the public, and Bob Ennis, President of Ennis Center encourages foster parents and community leaders, especially those concerned about children’s issues, to take part. Light refreshments will be served. 

Mr. Milks has spent most of his career in children’s services, including holding positions such as Child Protective Services Supervisor and Adoption Manager. He has worked for the Michigan Department of Human Services for 25 years, and has been District Manager for the past three and a half years.

“Mike Milks is someone who cares for children and wants to do good things for the county”, said Mr. Ennis, “I think he is a great choice, and this a good chance for community members to welcome him.”
