FLINT, MI – The Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is encouraging the community to get out and vote with Fortitude on the Frontline social action activities scheduled ahead of Election Day.
SOULS TO THE POLLS – OCTOBER 13, 20 & 27
In partnership with local churches, Black Voters Matters, and Voters Not Politicians Educations Fund, Souls to the Polls highlights voting rights and education while getting voters registered for a ride to the polls when early voting begins on October 26.

MIDWEST IMPACT DAY OF SERVICE – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26
In partnership with the Flint National Pan-Hellenic Council, Midwest Impact Day of Service (MIDS) helps kick off the first day of in-person voting in Michigan on Saturday, October 26, from Noon to 2 pm at 1101 Saginaw St, Flint, MI 48502, in downtown Flint, to encourage early voting. Volunteers at this location will cheer on residents for early voting.
MIDS will include early morning door knocking, transportation assistance to polling locations, sharing voting facts, and an Early Voting Day Party from 12:30 to 4 pm at Sweetwater Tavern, 500 Saginaw St, Flint, MI.

“We must continue to support voting efforts and inform our community of their voting rights to increase voter turnout. These activities do not support any candidate but work to highlight the voting process and deadlines,” said Tamar Swain, president of the Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. “There are many significant races. We are all responsible for being informed while encouraging others to get involved.”
