City of Flint and Police Lieutenants Union reach tentative agreement

FLINT, Mich. — The City of Flint and the Flint Police Lieutenants Union have reached a tentative agreement on a new labor contract, marking an important step in supporting public safety operations while maintaining the City’s commitment to responsible fiscal management. The agreement was unanimously approved by union membership.

“This agreement recognizes the dedication and leadership our lieutenants bring to the department every day,” said Flint Police Chief Terence Green.

The contract takes effect upon approval by the Flint City Council.

“This tentative agreement reflects our continued commitment to supporting the men and women who serve our community while ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources,” said Mayor Sheldon Neeley.
