Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties to have their biggest grocery give-away ever

From 11 a.m.-1 p.m. July 16 Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties will have their biggest grocery give-away ever, in the Catholic Charities Center for Hope Parking Lot! Included in the giveaway will be milk from the Region 10 AHEPA group, water from Nadia of Virginia who did her donation as part of a school project, and the Nutrition Truck will bring fresh produce.

“We have increased our food giveaways since COVID hit because we know people are in a pinch,” said Vicky Schultz, Catholic Charities CEO.

“Part of the giveaway is dairy, which is lead mitigating and particularly important to residents in Flint,” Schultz added.

The volunteers are coming from the AHEPA and the Daughters of Penelope and Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Grand Blanc. This is a drive thru giveaway. All are welcome, and there are no income restrictions. The address is for the giveaway 812 Root St.
