Callahan Receives Doctorate In Theological Studies

Elder J. W. Callahan will receive his Doctorate Degree in Theological Studies from the National Theological University of Louisiana Board of Bishops, Baton Rouge, LA. The official ceremony will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 in Baton Rouge, LA.

Elder J. W. Callahan is currently an Associate Minister at the Macedonia Baptist Church,
Bishop Cornelious Roberson, Pastor. "Jay" serves as Gospel Announcer at WFLT AM1420 and
Administrative Assistant to Bishop Albert Jamison, Chairman of the Gospel Music Workshop of
America. Jay received a gold record for the album "Rev. James Cleveland presents New Jerusalem Choir-Everything Will Be Alright", Executive Producer for "Sound of Gospel Records " Keith Hunter and the Witness for Christ Choir. Louisville KY, Bishop Walker Bogan and Harris Memorial COGIC Choir Flint, Trinity COGIC Choir featuring Betty Griffin-Kellar Phoenix, AZ, Member of the former Board of  Directon for the John P Kee VIP Convention, Utopia Records, was Road Manager for Rev. Daryl Coley and the late Rev. James Moore and served as Staff Coordinator for Bobby Jones Gospel. Jay has served as Music Director/Musician for various churches & Community Choirs in the Flint area and was formerly co-owner of Alpha & Omega Travel.

Jay, the youngest son of the late Elder George & Mother Rowena Callahan was born and
raised in Flint. Jay graduated from Central High School and is the proud father of John Callahan
II, Los Angeles, CA and Elder Dorrsaint Michael Lilavois of Phoenix, AZ.
