Berston is thrilled to announce the fourth annual 2021 Softball All-Star Game against the Berston Inner-City Softball League All-Stars and the Genesee County Sheriff Department All-Stars. This is a family friendly event open to all. There will be free hot dogs, ice cream and fun for the entire family!
Festivities will begin at 2 p.m. with the Jackson Park Youth Baseball League Tee-Ball All-Stars followed by the 10 and under All-Stars game. Berston took the win in 2019 against the Sheriff’s Department and is looking to bring it home again this year. The Sheriff Department All-Stars are feeling the pressure and plan to bring their “A” game!
“I think this is a great event for a community that has seen its share of difficulties,” Genesee County Commissioner Bryant W. Nolden stated.
This event drew a large crowd from across the county in 2019 and looks to do the same if not more!
“We hope that having these types of activities will help to build better communication between law enforcement and our residents,” Nolden added. “It is a great collaboration.”
This event is being sponsored by the City of Flint, Friends of Berston, and Sheriff Chris Swanson.
