The Greater Flint African American Sports Hall of Fame (GFAASHOF) will host its 7th annual Flintstones Golf Spectacular, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Captain’s Club Golf Course 10200 Woodfield Drive, Grand Blanc, MI.
“Support for this event helps us award annual scholarships to Flint area high school students during our Hall of Fame Dinner,” said Melvin Smith, co-chair of the event.
Registration begins at 7 a.m., with a shot gun start at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $75 per golfer and includes lunch and also dinner after the conclusion of play. Net proceeds from participation, donations and sponsorships benefits the GFAASHOF Scholarship Fund.
The GFAASHOF, founded in 1983, is located in the lower level of the Flint Public Library. It is a collection of over 200 plaques preserving the history of local sports greats.
