Flint, MI- Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint (BGCGF) recently announced that the Board of Directors has unanimously named Chris Wilson as the next Chief Executive Officer, effective August 3rd, 2026.
BGCGF conducted its search process with the assistance of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s CEO Search Team.
Chris Wilson is a Flint, Michigan, native and proud student-athlete from Flint Northern High School, where he earned varsity letters in football, basketball, and track and field. Demonstrating both discipline and versatility, Wilson also studied ballet for three years in pursuit of his dream of reaching the NFL.
Wilson continued his athletic career at Northwood University, where he became a FirstTeam All-American in football and was later inducted into the university’s Football Hall of Fame. Following college, he began his professional career in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the BC Lions, where he was a member of the Grey Cup Championship team in 2006.
Wilson went on to play five seasons in the NFL with the Washington Commanders before returning to the CFL for two additional seasons, completing a nine-year professional football career.
Wilson spent eight years in automotive management, one year with Ford and seven years with General Motors.
Wilson is a devoted husband and father of three: Brooklynn, Pierce and Reece. He and his wife of 20 years, Sharena, are the founders of the CSW Faith Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to partnering with businesses and community groups to create opportunities for students to pursue scholarships and achieve their goals.
The CSW Faith Foundation’s most recent partnership includes the 475 Elite Young Bulls Youth Tackle Football Organization, founded in Flint, Michigan, in 2021. In addition to teaching discipline, life skills and self-control, the organization led its 12U team to a state championship at Ford Field in the fall of 2025.
Wilson also is a licensed minister.
The search process was conducted over several months by Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s CEO Search Team, and a Search Committee comprised of dedicated board members.
