Fire being investigated as arson and homicide

A fire from which one person was found dead is being investigated as an arson and a homicide.

At around 11 p.m., a fire was reported to be on the 3700 block of Penbrook Lane, in the West Manor Apartments, near the Atherton and Van Slyke Road intersection.

The individual who died was found on the second floor of the apartment and had not yet been identified at press time.

At least one suspect has been arrested for their potential role in a horrific crime.
