Flint City Council names interim city clerk

Flint City Council, during a meeting on September 12, 2022, selected Davina Donahue as interim city clerk.

Donahue, who currently serves as deputy clerk will begin her term as interim clerk on October 1 and will finish out the current term of Inez Brown who announced last week that she will be retiring at the end of the month.,

Five council members voted to appoint Donahue: Ladel Lewis (Ward 2), Quincy Murphy (Ward 3), Judy Priestly (Ward 4), Allie Herkenroder (Ward 7) and Dennis Pfiffer (Ward 8). Eric Mays (Ward 1) and Tonya Burns (Ward 6) both abstained. Jerri Winfrey-Carter (Ward 5) and Eva Worthing (ward 9) were both absent for the vote.
