Flint Community School Board elects new officers

The Flint Community School Board has elected new officers in the August 17, 2022 board meeting.

Carol McIntosh will now serve as the chair of the board, replacing Joyce McNeal. Chris Del Marone will now serve as vice president. Dr. Danielle Green was elected as treasurer of the board, replacing Laura MacIntyre.

McNeal and MacIntyre were both the recent subjects of a recall attempts. Neither recall attempt was successful due to “unclear language,: according to the Genesee County Election Commission.

The Flint Board of Education has five seats up for re-election in the upcoming general election.
