At approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, Flint police responded to reports of a drive by shooting on the 2500 block of Thom Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 74-year-old white male victim who sustained an apparent gunshot wound as a result of the shooting. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Michael Douglas Smith. His date of birth is 5/1/47. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
