At 12:58 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, a tragic traffic crash occurred on S. Dort Hwy. near Lapeer Rd., in the city of Flint.
The on scene investigation revealed that the victim’s vehicle, a white pickup truck was traveling S/B on S. Dort Hwy. and was struck by a black Chevrolet Impala that was turning S/B onto S. Dort Hwy. from W/B Lapeer Rd. The victim, Emile Hancock, was ejected from the white pickup truck, suffered head trauma and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin was notified.
Speed, alcohol and/or drugs are believed to be a factor in this crash. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information pertaining to this investigation should contact Det.
