Weekend shootings in Flint critically injure or kill at least two victims

A shooting occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. Saturday April 3 on the 200 block of Mary Street. The victim was a 48-year-old Black man, who had multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Hurley Medical Center and listed in critical condition. There are no suspects at the time.

Around the same time, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday April 3, a 16-year-old white male was shot on the 2900 block on Henry Street. The victim was taken to Hurley and listed in critical condition, but later pronounced dead. The suspect is a Black male in his 20s, who was taken into custody and lodged at Genesee County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
