Community Volunteers Unite to Build a New Playground at Eagle’s Nest Academy

Volunteers from General Motors, Eagle’s Nest Academy and the community joined KaBOOM! on Friday, Sept. 20 to transform an empty site into a kid-designed, state-of-the-art playground in just six hours at Eagle’s Nest Academy. The new playground is designed to help make play the easy choice for kids and families in Flint.

In July, kids from the surrounding community came together to draw their dream playground. The playground is based off their drawings and will provide thousands of kids in Flint with a great, safe place to play over its lifetime.
