UM-Flint breaks ground on $39 million Murchie Science Building expansion

The University of Michigan-Flint is beginning construction on its new 65,000 square foot expansion to the William R. Murchie Science Building after more than two years of planning. UM-Flint officials on Oct. 11 hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate this milestone with members of the university, community and elected officials in attendance.

Students will benefit from many innovative design features showcased in new space. The Murchie Science Building expansion will provide an additional 65,000 square feet of space to campus in the way of labs and lab support, classrooms, and faculty and student areas.
