18-year-old involved in Beecher shootout facing charges, including open murder

18-year-old Amarion Cain has been charged in a shooting and killing that occurred in Beecher on June 25 of this year

According to police, Cain was involved in a physical altercation in a yard near the 6100 block of Hilton Lane, in Mt. Morris Township. A shootout is said to have started  when an SUV showed up to the residence, then three individuals,  got out and started assaulting another individual in the front yard. Another person in the yard started shooting back and forth with one other person, who was in the SUV.

The dead body of 17-year-old Khamani Lindsey, who had arrived in the SUV, was found  in the middle of Hilton Lane with gunshot wounds.

U.S. Marshals arrested Cain in Lima, Ohio, and he was extradited back to Flint. Cain is facing seven charges, including one count of open murder, two counts of assault with intent to murder and four weapons charges. He was arraigned on Sept. 5, is being held on no bond and will have a hearing on Sept. 19.
