On Wednesday, March 17 before 10:23 p.m., a shooting occurred at the Vets Club. One male, identified as Rodney Brandon, was located in the parking lot deceased with multiple gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing.
Also on Wednesday, March 17, at before 1:55 p.m. a shooting took place in the parking lot of the Dollar General located at MLK and Baker Street. A 17-year-old male was struck in the abdomen, transported to Hurley Medical Center for treatment and was listed in critical condition. A 23-year-old male was struck in the forearm and was listed in good condition. This investigation is also still ongoing.
