Suspect in custody after one man dies, one listed in critical condition in Flint

Flint Police rushed to 1500 W. Patterson St. after a shooting at about 7:14 a.m. on July 29. There, they located 26-year-old Taquaylin Thomas inside the residence, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and 49-year old Marcus Bryant, who was also a Black male, in front of the residence, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to Hurley Medical Center. There, Thomas was pronounced to be dead, and Bryant was listed in critical condition.

The Flint Police Department has stated that a suspect was taken into custody in relation with the shooting, which is still being investigated.
