Flint, MI – Sunny Patch Learning Center, a trusted provider of quality childcare services at three locations in the Flint area, is excited to announce the launch of their Childcare Development Specialist Registered Apprenticeship Program in partnership with GST Michigan Works!. This innovative program aims to provide aspiring childcare professionals with the hands-on training and experience necessary to excel in their careers.
The Childcare Development Specialist Registered Apprenticeship Program at Sunny Patch Learning Center is designed to give individuals the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive and nurturing environment. Apprentices will work alongside experienced childcare professionals who will serve as mentors and guides throughout their training. By incorporating both classroom learning and practical experience, the program is tailored to help apprentices develop the skills and competencies needed to succeed in the childcare field.

Apprentices in the program will receive comprehensive training in child development, early childhood education, health and safety practices and effective communication techniques through Mott Community College. They will also have the opportunity to observe and participate in a variety of activities and programs designed to promote holistic development in children while on-the-job. In addition, apprentices will have the chance to work with diverse populations and gain valuable experience in creating inclusive and supportive learning environments.
