At approximately 1:45 a.m. Sunday, May 8, a traffic crash occurred on Selby Street & E. Pierson Road, in Flint.
The on scene investigation revealed that victim #1’s vehicle, a maroon Ford Explorer, was traveling S/B on Selby St. and was struck by victim #2’s vehicle, a blue Chrysler 300 that was traveling W/B on E. Pierson Rd.
Victim #1 was a passenger of the Ford Explorer and was pronounced dead on scene. Victim #2 was a passenger of the blue Chrysler 300 and was transported to Hurley Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. Next of kin was notified on victim #1 but not able to be notified on victim#2.
Speed, alcohol and/or drugs are believed to be factors in this crash.
