Ruth Mott Foundation funds the Tire Project round two to prepare north side residents for tire repair careers

The Tire Project is taking applications for serious north side residents who want to start a career in tire repair.

The eight-hour training program will prepare individuals for entry-level positions at employers like Belle Tire and Discount Tire.

Motivated people can move up quickly and make more money as they gain skills and experience.

Participant benefits include:

▪ Training stipend

▪ Tools

▪ Voucher for a tire

▪ Job placement assistance

The requirements for the program are as follows:

▪ Must be a north side Flint resident (zip codes – 48503, 48504, 48505 and 48506)

▪ Age 18+

▪ Able to attend eight hours of training over two consecutive days

▪ Interested in cars/automotive repair

▪ The training program will take place on Saturday, August 22nd and Sunday, August 23rd.

The Tire Project is funded by the Ruth Mott Foundation.
