Nominating petitions for the 3rd Ward Flint City Council Member Recall Election are now available in
the Flint City Clerk’s Office (Monday – Friday, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m./CLOSED WEDNESDAY, JULY 19,
FOR JUNETEETH HOLIDAY). Petitions will also be available on Saturday, June 22.

THE DEADLINE FOR FILING NOMINATING PETITIONS WITH THE CITY CLERK’S OFFICE
FOR 3RD WARD CITY COUNCIL MEMBER IS SATURDAY, JUNE 22, 2024, BY 4 PM.

The 3rd Ward City Council Member Recall Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Per the Flint City Charter, candidates for this position are required to be a registered elector of the city
for one year prior to the filing deadline for the office, a resident of the ward for which they serve and must continue that residency until the end of their term.

Prospective candidates filing for the election must submit nominating petitions with a minimum of 51
and a maximum of 102 signatures, or by paying a $100 non-refundable fee.

The candidate receiving the highest number of votes in the November 5, 2024 Recall Election is the
elected member for the remainder of the City Council term ending in November 2026.
