New Flint program aims to give residents confidence in health decisions

Flint, Mich. – Flint Innovative Solutions launches a new app – the Genesee County COVID-19
Portal (GCCP). GCCP provides Flint and Genesee County residents access to resources to
combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. A launch party will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., on July 9, at Ophelia Bonner Park to celebrate the app’s release.

The evolving pandemic has made it difficult to access reliable information and has resulted in attitudes of distrust. Providing residents with credible information empowers them to make informed decisions about their health, right at their fingertips!

The GCCP relies on credible health sources, delivering timely information to the community on
an ongoing basis. GCCP offers resources for parents, vaccination clinic site locations, testing site
information, healthy living tips and up to date information on COVID-19 at county, state, national and international levels.

Funding provided by the Community Foundation of Greater Flint’s National Network to
Innovate for COVID-19 and Adult Vaccine Equity Fund, the launch party will include food, raffle
prizes, a bounce house, a community resource fair, basketball, baseball, and COVID-19 vaccines
on site.
