Movies Under the Stars returns for summer of 2023

Free family friendly film series starting in July

Flint, Mich. –  Communities First, Inc. has hosted Movies Under the Stars for the past nine summers and is bringing the series back for another great season!  This popular outdoor movie event will offer three family friendly films and pre-movie parties on the back lawn of Flint City Hall, 1101 S Saginaw St. Flint, MI 48502. Community members are invited to attend this free series of outdoor movies and are encouraged to register at cfi.ticketleap.com

The pre-movie party begins at 7 p.m. and movies will be shown at dusk. Attendees can expect all of the traditional activities of the event – with food, fun, prizes and resources for the whole family. A community resource fair will also be held on August 25, bringing together diverse organizations offering social, financial and health care services.

Creating free, accessible and low-cost entertainment to the families in the Flint community is very important to the organization.

Glenn Wilson, president and CEO of Communities First said, “This is one of our more popular events that provides free family activities, and we are excited that we can continue to offer this fun experience to the communities that we serve.”

The lineup for Movies Under the Stars 2023 is as follows:

July 7 Wall-E

July 28 Puss in Boots: The Last Wish

August 25 The Super Mario Bros Movie

Sponsors for this year’s event include: Premier Property Management, Molina Healthcare, Blue Cross Complete of Michigan, Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Genesee Health System, HAP, Hurley Medical Center, McLaren Healthcare, the Hurand Family and the Nartel Family Foundation.
