Mid-Summer Friends of the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library “Summer Reads” Used Book Sale takes place July 20

Flint, Michigan—The Friends of the Library will host a “Summer Reads” used book sale from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. The sale will be in the garage of the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library, 1026 E. Kearsley St.

This short sale includes selected categories of books to enjoy on sunny or rainy summer days: cookbooks, general fiction, mysteries, romance, books for children and others. The Friends are also offering DVDs, puzzles and games.

Hardcover books and DVDs cost $1. Paperback books, puzzles and games cost $.50. Books will be half price between 4-5 p.m. The Friends accept credit cards as well as cash and checks.

Purchasing books at the book sale is a wonderful way to support your public library. All proceeds contribute to expanding the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library services and programs.

Another way to show your support is by joining the Friends of the Library. You can sign up during the sale for just $20!

The Friends of the Library is a 501c3 non-profit group organized to advance literacy and life-long learning through fund-raising that directly benefits library services and programs. Members help by their membership fees, but also by dedicating volunteer hours to fundraising activities.
