About Sisters Supporting Sisters, a 501C3 nonprofit

Over 1000 businesses and services – The overwhelming response to the Sisters Supporting Sisters platform made it apparent that there is a huge gap in accessing necessary services for women to sustain health and financially support their families. The social media platform closes the gap by giving over 23,000 active members access to available family resources and services; providing a safe environment for women entrepreneurs to network, showcase and grow their business; and a physical space, newly acquired business center, where SSS and their partners host events and workshops together to improve the health and financial stability of women and families. The first program, funded through Flint ReCast, has allowed Sisters Supporting Sisters to provide “Healing the Mind” group therapy sessions for women and teens. These sessions reached 60 individuals who may not have access to mental health care.

No registration for attendance is required for the upcoming celebration. Vendors must contact event organizers in advance. Contact Tanisha Thompson at (810) 746-4082 or go online sisterworldwide.org to be a vendor or for more information.
