Live well with diabetes; join a no-cost online PATH workshop!

ANN ARBOR, MICH. — (July 14, 2022) — If you are living with type 2 diabetes or you care for someone who does, consider taking one of two upcoming Diabetes Personal Action Toward Health (DPATH) virtual workshops presented by the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM). Offered at no cost to participants, the six-week online workshops feature a facilitator working with a small group to explore skills and tools to help people with diabetes and their loved ones improve the quality of their lives. Session topics include controlling symptoms, decreasing stress, advocating for yourself, communicating with health providers and more. DPATH workshops are open to all residents in Michigan and caregivers are welcome. Participate from home — no transportation needed! Register and join either of the following DPATH workshops with a computer, tablet or smartphone:

 Diabetes PATH (virtual)
Mondays, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Information Session – Monday, August 15, 2022, 1:00 p.m.
Classes start on Monday, August 22, but new participants can join through Monday, August 29.
Sessions 1-6: August 22, 29, (no class on Sept. 5 – Labor Day); September 12, 19, 26; October 3.

Diabetes PATH (virtual)
Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Information Session – Thursday, August 18, 2022, 10:00 a.m.
Classes start on Thursday, August 25, but new participants can join through Thursday, September 1.
Sessions 1-6: August 25; September 1, 8, 15, 22, 29.
