At approximately 12:25 p.m. on June 21, Flint Police Department officers rushed to Richert Manor, on E. Court St. and Avon St., for a report that a 3-year-old boy fell from a 9th-story window of the apartment complex.
After the ambulance rushed the boy to Hurley Hospital, the boy, identified by family as King Anthony Messiah Davis, was pronounced dead.
According to the child’s father, Corey Davis, he and King’s mother both live in Richert Manor, but they reside in different units.
Corey Davis told reporters he was outside at the time of his son’s fall and that he ran downstairs to get his son as his son’s mother ran behind him.
Tragically, it was too late.
An investigation is ongoing.
