A 23-year-old Hollywood, Florida man was first suspected of sexual abuse of a Michigan child when his activity was reported to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.

Now, Petar Vuk Pejic will be taken to federal prison in July 5 to serve a 30-year sentence for child sex crimes against the child.

According to court documents, Pejic met the 12-year-old child online and requested and received sexually explicit videos. Knowing the child’s age, he traveled from Florida to Michigan in February 2022, took the child to a hotel and engaged in sexual acts with them. He also distributed videos of the acts over the internet.

Pejic has since admitted to using the internet to engage in similar sexual activity with a 14 year old and 15 year old child.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office worked with the FBI, as well as law enforcement in Florida, Oregon, and Washington to arrest Pejic, and an investigation was conducted.

Pejic is currently being held in the Greene County Jail in Missouri under a Marshal hold.
