Hamilton Community Health Network opens drive through COVID-19 testing April 28

Hamilton Community Health Network is responding to the need of the community for COVID-19 testing and offers drive through testing starting 10 a.m.-3 p.m. April 28 at Hamilton’s North Pointe clinic. After the initial opening day, testing will be available there every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

To get scheduled for a test, patients can call the Hamilton COVID-19 hotline  and make an appointment for an assessment, after which a provider will submit an order for testing.

Hamilton Community Health Network is also implementing its new “Telehealth” medical service where patients can receive care over the phone for certain ailments to provide convenience and ease of access to health care amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Allergies, arthritic pain, bronchitis/sinusitis, mild colds and flus, respiratory infections, stable chronic disease management, vomiting and diarrhea can all be treated through Telehealth. In addition, medication refills can be prescribed through Telehealth.

“As a community health network it is paramount that we are out in front providing all services necessary to help in the fight against COVID-19. We look forward to the opportunity to serve during these difficult times and hope to continue making a difference in any way possible,” said Mr. Clarence Pierce, chief executive officer of Hamilton Community Health Network.

The telephone number to make an appointment for an assessment for COVID-19 testing at Community Health Network North Pointe Clinic is 810-406-4019. Hamilton is located at 5710 Clio Road in north Flint.
