Gun violence continues to be a problem for young people in Flint

At around 5:30 p.m. April 27, a 17-year-old Black male was shot on the 700 block of Parkway Ave. Unknown male suspects left the scene prior to law enforcement arrival in an unknown direction. While police were enroute to the venue a male victim arrived at Hurley Medical Center by POV with a single gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at Hurley Medical Center. No arrests have been made, and this investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 12 a.m. on April 28, a 24-year-old male was shot multiple times in the Ridgecrest Apartments, on the 2600 block of Judy Court. The victim was transported to Hurley Medical Center and listed in critical condition. There are currently no suspects. The incident is under investigation, and Sgt. Robert Frost is the sergeant in charge.
