Flint, MI – The Youth Entrepreneurship (YE) Final Pitch Competition, hosted by Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD), will take place on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Genesee Career Institute (GCI), 5081 Torrey Rd, Flint. This highly anticipated event will showcase the top 10 student entrepreneurs from Genesee County. Students will pitch their innovative products, services, social enterprises, or technology businesses for a chance to win cash prizes.

These students earned their place in the final round after advancing through local district-level competitions. On April 30, they will present their business ideas to a panel of judges, competing for funding and the opportunity to further develop their entrepreneurial skills.

All 10 competitors will receive a cash prize, with the top three earnings:

1st Place: $2,000
2nd Place: $1,500
3rd Place: $1,000

“This experience empowers students to think like entrepreneurs and take real steps toward turning their ideas into action,” said Kimberly Dehmel, youth entrepreneurship coordinator. “It’s always exciting to see the creativity and drive the students bring to the competition.”

The YE Final Pitch Competition provides high school students with a real-world entrepreneurial experience, teaching them essential skills like business planning, public speaking and problem-solving. By fostering innovation and leadership, the program prepares students for future careers in business and beyond.
