Opportunity for parents to learn more about early childhood programs
FLINT – The Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) provides early childhood services and preschool programs for children and families in Flint and throughout Genesee County. To help families discover more about quality early learning and care, GISD will be hosting a FREE Preschool Enrollment Kickoff event at the Flint Children’s Museum.
What: Preschool Enrollment Kickoff Event
When: Sunday, March 1, 2026 | 12– 5 p.m.
Where: Flint Children’s Museum
1602 University Avenue, Flint, MI 48504
Parents are being encouraged to bring their children to explore the Flint Children’s Museum and learn about the various early childhood programs available.
“Preschool builds a solid foundation for lifelong learning, fostering cognitive, social and emotional development during a child’s early years,” said Jodi Ramos, Ed.D., director of Early Childhood Programs.
Ramos added: “Investing in early education provides children with essential skills that set the stage for academic achievement and personal growth.”
This preschool kickoff event allows parents and guardians to find out what’s available to children in Genesee County and to consider ways they may be able to help ensure they have a successful start. All children ages birth to five and their parents are welcome to attend. For more information about available programs, visit www.591Kids.org or call (810) 591-KIDS.
