Genesee Health System partners with New Standard Academy to host Mental Wealth Tailgate MONDAY

GENESEE COUNTY, MI – Genesee Health System (GHS) has partnered with New Standard Academy to host the Pillars of Hope: Mental Wealth Tailgate Experience on Monday, October 27, from 4:30 – 7 p.m. at New Standard Academy, 2040 W. Carpenter Rd., Flint, MI 48505 (the old Powers High School)

This tailgate experience will be a fun-packed event featuring food trucks, inflatables, multiple gaming trucks, a Trunk or Treat and more. All designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional wellness!

“Pillars of Hope addresses mental health topics and resources needed within the community. We want to celebrate and encourage our community with an event to truly enjoy and have some fun”, said Dexter Clarke, GHS Director of Faith-Based and Community Engagement Initiatives. “We want to continue the work to reduce stigmas while creating inclusive environments that address behavioral and physical health needs.”

This family-friendly event is free to the community.

This will be GHS’s third Pillars of Hope event after a Jason Wilson presentation and the EmpowerMENt Panel Discussion. GHS plans to continue hosting these events at various locations within the community to empower us all to take care of ourselves.
