GENESEE COUNTY PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PLAN PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

A 45-day public comment period for the proposed Public Participation Plan will be held from August 3, 2026, through September 17th, 2026.

During the 45-day review period, public comments will be collected by the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission staff. Adoption of the Public Participation Plan will follow this public review period.

The Public Participation Plan (PPP) establishes the policies and procedures the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission (GCMPC) uses to engage the public in community development, transportation, materials management, and Master Plan planning activities. The PPP describes how GCMPC informs the public, provides opportunities for participation, and considers public input throughout the planning and decision-making process. Public review and comment on the PPP helps ensure that GCMPC’s public engagement process remains transparent, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the communities it serves.

The draft Public Participation Plan and supporting materials are available for review on our website: https://gcmpc.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/2026-Public-Participation-Plan-July-Draft.pdf, and at the GCMPC office listed at the end of this notice.

This comment period is an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the plan. Comments may be made in person or by mail, telephone, facsimile, or e-mail using the contact information provided below.
