Flint woman dies after her vehicle crashes with two semi trucks

Tragically, on Monday, March 3, a Flint woman died after being hit by a semi-truck near Lansing.

According to the Michigan State Police, the 34-year-old woman was hit by the truck from behind in her Toyota Avalon at around 1:40 p.m. At the time, she was driving east on I-96, near Cedar Street.

Her vehicle was forced over the median and into the westbound lanes, where another semi-truck crashed into her car.

The woman died on the scene.

A 56-year old man was in the semi that caused the crashed. He was from Lansing and was not injured.

A 34-year-old man from Texas was driving the westbound truck. He also was uninjured.

Despite police investigating the crash, it was unclear to authorities whether any of the drivers were intoxicated at the time of the tragic incident at the time of publication.

The Michigan State Police is asking anyone with information about this crash to contact their Lansing Post at 517-322-1907.
